We always like to celebrate success by writers who come within The Fiddlehead's orbit. Today we congratulate new books by Jill Connell, Matthew Heiti, and Emily Ruskovic, as well as thoughtful new pieces by Richard Kelly Kemick and Rebecca Salazar (with links provided!).

The Odd Sundays reading series invites you to Corked Wine Bar (83 Regent St.) this Sunday, February 19th at 2pm for readings from Barbara Nicholas and Len Falkenstein.

Odd Sundays happens at Corked Wine Bar again this Sunday, February 5th, for another afternoon of readings. Come to 83 Regent St, at 2pm for reading by Shoshanna Wingate and David Adams Richards.

Hal Niedzviecki will be reading from his newest work of fiction The Archeologists this Monday, January 30th at 8 pm in the lounge at the Alumni Memorial Building on the UNB campus. The event is free to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Patrons of odd sundays will gather once again at Corked Wine Bar, 83 Regent St. at 2 P.M. on January 29th to hear readings from poets Sarah Cooper and Lucas Crawford.

Sheila McClarty’s "Flag Girl" appears in The Fiddlehead No. 269 (Autumn 2016). The explosive story depicts a woman processing the ravages of cancer. With a straightforward voice, it uses stunning sensory details to focalize a rich and paradoxical point of view. 

The first Odd Sundays of 2017 arrives on January 15 at Corked Wine Bar, 83 Regent St. beginning at 2 P.M. Please consider braving the elements and coming to listen to readings of poetry and fiction from Nicole Goodwin and Robert Gray. As always, there will be an open mic after the featured readers, and a chance to win a prize during our book draw.
