We always like to celebrate success by writers who come within The Fiddlehead's orbit. Two former editorial assistants (and past contributors!) and graduates of the UNB MA Creative Writing program have published plays. Jill Connell's The Supine Cobbler is forthcoming from Coach House Books and Matthew Heiti's Black Dog: 4 vs the wrld has been published by Playwrights Canada Press.
Frequent contributor (poetry, fiction, and reviews) Richard Kelly Kemick (who is also a former editorial assistant and MA in Creative Writing graduate) has just had a new piece "All on the Line" about volleyball published in Maissonneuve.
Yet another former editorial assistant and MA in Creative Wiring graduate, Emily Ruskovic, has just had her novel Idaho published with Penguin Random House.
And finally, current Poetry Co-editor Rebecca Salazar has an article at The Puritan about her experience covering last year's Scotiabank Giller Prize gala, "Toasting the Apocolypse."
