About the director:

Ian Clay Sewall (one of our volunteer readers) directed "Mirage," a fictional short film about a chaotic fight outside a rural gas station. The film was made on 3000 feet of 35mm film kindly donated by Kodak. The picture stars Booboo Stewart of Twilight, X-Men, and Let Him Go. Recently, "Mirage" played at the Oscar-qualifying Edmonton International Film Festival. Much of Sewall's production team has worked with him before (AFI alumni). Ian received his MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Antioch, Los Angeles, in 2023.
