Odd Sundays Presents Bren Simmers and Catherine Owen

The penultimate Odd Sunday of the season takes place April 15, 2018 at Corked Wine Bar, 83 Regent St. at 2 pm. The two featured readers this time are Bren Simmers and Catherine Owen. 

Bren Simmers is the author of two books of poetry, Night Gears (2010) and Hastings-Sunrise (2015), which was a finalist for the City of Vancouver Book Award. A lifelong west coaster, she recently moved to Sackville, NB, where she is working on a new poetry manuscript about Howe Sound, BC.

Catherine Owen lives in downtown New Westminster BC and works in film props. She has published 13 collections of poetry and prose. Her latest book of poems is Dear Ghost (Buckrider Books, 2017). Her upcoming compendium is an anthology of memoirs called Locations of Grief: an emotional geography (Wolsak and Wynn, 2020).
