The Box Garden, Carol Shields. McGraw-Hill Ryerson Ltd., 1977.

Jennifer, David Helwig. Oberon Press, 1979.

Oberon press continues to produce as handsome a line of books for their price as can be found anywhere in North America, but does so--if my experience with our collection of short stories from The Fiddlehead, Fiddlehead Greens, is anything to go by--without what the publisher must surely regard as the superfluous intercession of author or compiler in the book's occult progress through the press.
