Erin MacNair's Music Recommendation:

I’ve been re-listening to Nilufer Yanya, losing myself in her gorgeous voice, especially “Thanks 4 Nothing and Baby Luv”. Her concert was my last, before Covid made it impossible to go to shows.  

I remember it well: the small venue, her voice billowing over the crowd, the sweaty audience, the overpriced, watered down drinks. Her music hit me like a wall. 

Erin MacNair is a writer from North Vancouver, B.C. She’s published in The Walrus, EVENT, Pulp Literature, Prairie Fire, and various other journals. She's won awards for her fiction and non-fiction stories and is currently working on a short story collection and a novel.
