Odd Sundays Presents a Holiday Open Mic

On Dec. 17th, odd sundays will offer an opportunity for you to read your favourite seasonal celebratory works. The final odd sundays of 2017 takes place at Corked Wine Bar, 83 Regent St. at 2 PM; arrive from 1:30 onward to get a book draw ticket and add your name to our special open mic list. 

We have asked a couple of our special guests from over the years to begin the festivities and give us all some motivation. 

Brian Bartlett Launches Branches Over Ripples: A Waterside Journal

Join Brian Bartlett on Thursday, December 7 at 7 PM at Westminster Books (445 King St. in Fredericton NB) as he launches Branches Over Ripples: A Waterside Journal, a follow-up to his Ringing Here & There: A Nature Calendar (Fitzhenry & Whiteside, 2014), a "book of days" composed of 366 short paragraphs of nature writing, this new book published by Gaspereau Press is made of 50 long, exploratory, digressive journal entries all originally drafted outdoors by various bodies of water — rivers, brooks, lakes, ponds, marshes, waterfalls, bays.

Odd Sundays Presents Jo-Anne Elder and Jean-Philippe Raîche

odd sundays continues on Sunday, Dec. 3 at Corked Wine Bar, 83 Regent St. We are pleased to have as guest readers Jean-Philippe Raîche and Jo-Anne Elder, and their work will be a combination of English, French and the translation between the two. The reading starts at 2 PM, and will be followed by an open mic set (sign up when you arrive) and a free book draw!
