You can imagine the reactions I would receive as a double fine arts major, and the amount of questions I was asked about the combination of the two. But over the years of studying both, I noticed an overwhelming amount of connections between dance and literature. . . .
Saint John (NB) March 23, 2018 - The Fiddlehead and the Writers' Federation of New Brunswick have announced the shortlisted titles for the third annual New Brunswick Book Awards. The winners will be announced at a celebration, honouring writing and illustration excellence, on Friday June 8, at the Lily Lake Pavilion in Saint John. The event will begin with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by the awards presentation at 7 p.m.
We are pleased to present the longlists for our 27th annual literary contest. Our judges read through 132 stories and 238 poems. Thank you to all writers who entered and congratulations to our longlisted!
The Odd Sundays reading series gathers again on Sunday, March 18 at Corked Wine Bar, 83 Regent Street, beginning at 2 PM. The two readers this time around are Roger Moore and Alexis McCormack.
Poets Liz Howard and Rebecca Salazar will read from their work on Friday, March 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge of the Alumni Memorial Building on the University of New Brunswick’s Fredericton campus.
