Summer Reading Recommendations

Fiddlehead poetry editor Ian LeTourneau and local Fredericton poet Lynn Davies were on CBC Fredericton's Information Morning last Friday, July 8 to give their summer reading recommendations. You can listen to the podcast here

What do you plan on reading this summer? Read something recently you'd like to recommend? Let us know in the comments!

I agree with Ian's comment - the 'happenstance' model works for me. This summer I'm reading two writers who have spent time out Fiddlehead's way: Sue Sinclair whose excellent new book 'Heaven's Thieves' (Brick) I love, and Sheri Benning whose New and Selected Poems, 'The Season's Vagrant Light' (published by Carcanet UK) I've just started into and which are wonderful. If I were heading to the beach I'd take Anne Fleming's new collection 'poemw' (Pedlar) because there are some very funny poems in there and beach reading seems to necessitate at least some levity.
