Announcing the Winner of our 2020 Creative Nonfiction Contest!

The Fiddlehead is pleased to announce that Morgan Charles is the winner of our 2020 Creative Nonfiction Contest and $2000 prize! Morgan's story Plagued  will be featured in our upcoming Fall issue no. 285.

Cynthia Hogue's Reading Recommendation

Cynthia Hogue has published nine poetry collections, including Revenance (2014) and In June the Labyrinth (2017). Her co-translations include Nathalie Quintane’s Jeanne Darc and Nicole Brossard’s Lointaines (forthcoming, Omnidawn), both with Sylvain Gallais. She is the Inaugural Marshall Chair in Poetry Emerita Professor of English at Arizona State University. Her poem after the war the house lay in ruins will appear in the upcoming Summer issue no. 284 of The Fiddlehead. What Geneviève Paiement is Listening To

Geneviève Paiement’s poetry, journalism and essays have appeared in Seneca Review, Tupelo Quarterly, the Literary Review of Canada, the Malahat Review, the New York Times, and elsewhere. She is a Canada Council for the Arts grant recipient and a candidate in the University of Guelph’s Creative Writing MFA program. Her Instagram is @manygenderedmompoems.
