Salma Hussain's Reading & Music Recommendations

Salma Hussain writes prose and poetry for children and adults. She grew up in the UAE to parents from Pakistan, and moved to Canada as a teenager. Her debut novel for kids and kids-at-heart, The Secret Diary Of Mona Hasan is forthcoming in May 2022 by Tundra/Penguin Random House. Follow: @salmahwrites.

Pauline Peters' Music Recommendation

Pauline Peters lives in Toronto. She has been published in anthologies and in journals such as Canadian Literature and The Antigonish Review. Her poem "Hamilton, Ontario, 1975" is featured in the new Autumn issue of The FiddleheadShe was short-listed for the Gwendolyn MacEwen Poetry Competition and her chapbook The Salted Woman is being published by the British publisher Hedgespoken Press.

Erin MacNair's Music Recommendation

Erin MacNair is a writer from North Vancouver, B.C. She’s published in The Walrus, EVENT, Pulp Literature, Prairie Fire, and various other journals. She's won awards for her fiction and non-fiction stories and is currently working on a short story collection and a novel. Angie Macri's music recommendation

Angie Macri is the author of Underwater Panther (Southeast Missouri State University), winner of the Cowles Poetry Book Prize. Her recent work appears in Cherry Tree, NELLE, Sou’Wester and issue 286 of The Fiddlehead. An Arkansas Arts Council fellow, she lives in Hot Springs and teaches at Hendrix College.
