UNB Reading Series presents Anna Chatterton, Len Falkenstein, and Colleen Murphy

Award-winning playwrights Anna Chatterton, Len Falkenstein, and Colleen Murphy will read from their works on Wednesday, February 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge of the Alumni Memorial Building on the University of New Brunswick’s Fredericton campus. The readings launch the book publication of two plays — Lac/Athabasca by Len Falkenstein and Gertrude and Alice by Anna Chatterton and Evalyn Parry — and introduce Colleen Murphy as UNB’s Writer-in-Residence. 

150th Senate Medals Given Out in Fredericton

At a ceremony on January 20, 2018, Canadian senator David Adams Richards handed out 12 150th Senate Medals. In a news release, Senator Richards says, "I am very pleased to be presenting the 150th Senate Medals to twelve deserving individuals. These medals have been given out nationally to people who have made positive contributions to their communities. The men and women being honoured have contributed in diverse ways — through writing, art, sport, history, education, and community leadership.

Odd Sundays Presents Clarissa Hurley and Wayne Curtis

[Note: This reading was unavoidably cancelled due to weather. The readers have been rescheduled for future dates.] The first odd sundays of 2018 takes place at 2 PM of January 7 at Corked Wine Bar, 83 Regent St. Doors open at 1:30. Wayne Curtis and Clarissa Hurley are the featured readers, and as always, there will be an open mic and a book draw.
